The point here is that this is wrong
1. Extra cost for Immigrants, It is expensive 400 Dollars
2. There is no logic for this medicine - It makes immigrants guinea pigs for this vaccination. It is clearly a result of lobbying effforts from Pharma companies.
If We do not appose (or I should say expose) it now then u never know what all they will keep piling on in medical exams and very soon that 5% figure that u talked about will be 100%.
Also IV is for Legal Immigration for all nationals, I am sure more than 5% of IV members are getting effected.
It is highly unethical to make this vaccine mandatory for immigrants (girls in age group 11-26) and not for citizens.
Only the Pharma companies and committe members (as they must have been bribed) are gaining out of this.
It is going to bring an estimated 40 million dollar annually to Merck.
Not to mention the extra paper work for us immigrants and RFE's on medicals for people who has already completed the paper work and are waiting in the lines.

Seems like NVARS has introduced a new process which is supposed to be more streamlined for getting appointment online but I am not sure of some of it's verbage.

The key will be to see what kind of congress we will have, before that, it is pretty hard to make any prediction. In any case, i remember this may when President George Bush and the senators met at the white house, he (the prez) told that he believe to have a bill by the end of the year, he never mention before election.

I am working on EAD and am losing sleep since if my EAD doesnt come in time I will be out of my payroll.
Has some one gone to the local USCIS office to get the interim EAD recently? I was told that option no longer exists.
Can some one post the FAX #s to expedite EAD requests?
yes that is true, Local uscis no longer provides interim EAD. they just place a request for interim EAD from their office only after your application has crossed 90 days from the receipt date (not notice date).

I do not think, number of employees matter. I work for a desi company and it has just 2 employees. Labor was breeze and 140 got approved in 4 weeks. Never got any RFE. However, I was in EB-3 despite having 4 years bachelor's degree and 5+ years of experience.

This sounds totally outrageous ! I mean if the company is genuine and no one is on bench etc. what was the ground for deportation ? And what is this about intimidating the immigrant ? What can we do to bring these cases to light and ask for explanations ?

CBP. hmmm.. can i have his phone #
CBP calls Mr ABC .. we r deporting XYZ hs papaers r not in order ..
no call back # nothing ..
meanwhile XYZ is asked to sign papers ..
I know we can refuse but those people r so intimidating and I guess if you dont sign ICE agents come in and tell you that it could take months to send you back
so poor xyz has no option but to sign and get a stamp on his passport that he is being deported
Councilor access is a myth and so is trying to call and talk to the CBP officers
and this is not a small body shop .. it has atleast 500 people working on various projects across US and those people were not on bench

Hi, For some reason, their employment based insurance rejected their pregnancy coverage. Do you have a link that show that pregnancy is NOT a pre-existing condition in group insurances (Law website or any links?)
her pregnancy is sometime around 6 months now and they will need insurance..

I would really appreciate input on the following:
1) What is the impact on a pending I-485 application if one is laid off and files for unemployment? Would an unemployment claim create a problem when I-485 is up for adjucation and about to be approved (assuming by that time one has a same/similar type of job lined up and is not unemployed).
2) What information does one need to provide for filing unemployment (I read somewhere that the A# - alien number off the I-485 application needs to be provided)?
3) Does USCIS get notified when unemployment is filed by someone who has an I-485 pending? Would filing for unemployment trigger any RFE's or alerts in the system?
Looking forward to some good guidance on this topic. Thanks!

Although I feel I am qualified in my capacity, of course I am very Thankful & Grateful (for now, I still have a long ways to go :p) Go figure, that is USCIS!! PM me if I can try help you further. My AP is valid until JUNE 27 2011, (Here is the line from the I-512L, Presentation of the Original Document prior to June 27 2011 allows a customs and border protection inspector at a port-of-entry to parole the named bearer) I'm travelling to India during May / June and will be entering LAX back on June25. Will this be an issue as my AP is expiring in next couple of days.
Experts please let me know your thoughts on my situation whether it is safe to travel and getting in back will not be of an issue.

We were successful in getting good media coverage with flower campaign. Our San Jose rally is getting good regional coverage. Yes, we haven't had the expected success with national media yet but we are gaining traction at an amazing pace.
This is not a big corporation with some PR dept. that is working with hundred of employees writing press releases et al. Volunteers like you and me have to take on that action item if you want to see results otherwise please continue on with your discussion
