But this won't be easy "Do you want us to compromise on national security", will be the first question asked . They will acknowledge the applicants pain and won't budge . "We know thousands like you are getting screwed for many years, but national security is foremost'.
I really hope they rely on electronic documents and don't push paper from one office to another.
I do not believe that keeping a really bad guy under ead for years is helping the national security any way. It is totally ridiculus when they talk about national security for anything. I believe that, they randomly pick some cases to create intentional delay, and tell their bosses, and who in turn tells American people that they are doing a job.

Thank you very much for your quick response. That is very sad though I would ask my lawyer to resubmit the application. My original document is with me in order to apply for H1 Visa at the Consular. At this point, I would send the original document back to my lawyer and ask him to do the premium process on my application. Another issue is that he refused to pay for the premium filing fee. He said that he would suggest me to find another lawyer in the case that he had to pay for my premium filing fee. He did not show any responsibilities on anything. Pls advise what I should do.

You cannot file EAD/AP without the Receipt notice. Since u will be filing it urself anyways(no layer fee involved), y dont u file it with just stating the 485File number in the covering letter, also attach the prints of the checks cashed.
I would say its worth giving a shot.
[You may also state any lame reason that u/employer/lawyer have misplaced the receipt notice in the covering letter ...try this at ur own risk]

When the poor Irish came to US, was there a rule that said, they can get their papers sooner if they pay some extra money? Premium processing is creating elitism by encouraging the well-heeled to pay to be above a system. Was there a rule that said that Vito Corleone would have to stay on Ellis Island and not work for several months if he didnt pay extra money to get his I-130 processed? But, today..the system is doing exactly that. They are confining our personal Godfathers (who we are mortally scared of .i.e or wives) to stay at the virtual Ellis Island (read as - 1 Bedroom apartment) and not allowing them to work till we premium process the shirts off our back.

Krishnam70, they require police certificates for any country where you lived in the last 10 (not 5!) years. Also, fingerprints must be sent to FBI to get "certified", and that can take 10-12 weeks nowadays.
NEVER bother the consulate with questions regarding your application status. Give it at least a year since they accept your documents. If you can't wait for so long, google "CAIPS notes" and use this process to get info about your application. However, if you have specific questions regarding your application/situation, the consulate will respond within 1-2 business days. Just make sure to include your file number (you'll be provided with it upon acceptance of your documents) at the top of each email message or response. I notified the consulate about my FBI fingerprints delay and asked some questions specific to my case. When I reviewed my CAIPS notes, I found out that they keep track of all communication, including email.
I'm almost done with my Canadian PR process and moving with my family to Calgary in October.

I am planning to file Labor under EB2. Below is my education detail.
3 years Bachelor Degree i.e. B.Com.
2 years MBA(Information Technology)
10 years pure IT experience in Java, Oracle
5 Professional Certification from Sun Microsystem,Oracle and IBM
Based on these education background will I have problem with EB2 labor and I-140 approval?
Please suggest.

The intent is to keep the issue of immigration alive till the elections so that there is a chance for any Immigration bill after elections. I travelled back from India on 04/26/09 via Detroit. All I was carrying was PP, AP and EAD.
There were absolutely no issues, wasn't asked a single question on entry.... looks like all
